Sandals Foundation

Description

The Sandals Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts International, established in March 2009 to channel sustained social impact across the Caribbean — particularly in Jamaica.

Focusing on three core pillars — Education, Community, and Environment — the Foundation supports a wide array of initiatives: improving school infrastructure, donating learning materials and technology, supporting teacher training and youth mentorship, offering community-based health and livelihood programs, and driving conservation efforts such as marine protection, coral reef restoration, tree planting and environmental awareness campaigns.

Since its inception, the Sandals Foundation has funded more than US $115 million in projects, reaching over 1.7 million people across the Caribbean.

The organisation supports over 120 projects annually and remains committed to “giving back home” — ensuring that 100 % of donations go directly into community programmes.
